H+ Hotel & Spa Engelberg

The spa was so overly crowded, it was impossible to relax. Who needs that anyway? Oddly enough, they forgot the kettle in my room until I asked. A little forethought wouldn't have hurt. I was tempted to give a good review but just couldn't! Absoluteley disappointing for a so-called top hotel.

It was trip and we would definitely go again.

Horrible and a highly overpriced hotel.. No services, no coffee maker in a hotel room rated 4 star. Also staff very ineffective.they charge05 francs for a bowl of hot water to sterilise the childs spoon.

Everything.

The hotel is right in engelberg--easy train or driving access. Parking is included. We were able to bring our dog - surcharge for her (large dog) was not unreasonable.

I didn't like that housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30 on Sunday morning! Also, the spa and pool closes early, at 21:00.

The location is excellent, being close to supermarkets and restaurants. We appreciate how convenient it is to access both the town and mountain railways, great for easy exploration. The wellness facilities provided a lovely space to unwind after our adventures.

Unfortunately, the swimwear policy in the spa was a bit uncomfortable for us.

Good idea if rooms had electric kettles with some tea bags/instant coffee concentrate and milk satchets for use of guests. Also include a cuisine (for breakfast / lunch / dinner) based on an Indian menu (I could see a lot of Indian guests), Must have internet access in the rooms (not forcing us to keep buying Swisscom internet cards which are very user - unfriendly)

The inconvenient Swisscom Public Wireless Internet Value card system. Free Wireless Internet is available at many other hotels at no cost.

The location here is fantastic for families, with plenty of walking and hiking routes suited for everyone. We loved the wellness area-definitely a hit after a day of exploring! The breakfast spread was lovely, offering great options to kickstart our day. Plus, the staff were quick to provide us with a baby cot upon arrival.

My wife says that the room could use some coffee-making facilities.

No complaints whatsoever, the venue met required needs. Well-equipped hotel, I loved its central location so close to all the restaurants, a park with a playground which again, and other shoppings. All of the staff was excellent and amiable.

As for me, the area was really loud.

I had 2 nights in Engelberg, spending the time here lovely. The staff was incredibly attentive and really courteous and assisted me greatly. My rooms were well-kept with fridge, a balcony facing a snowy mountain and great views of the mountains. Vegetarian cuisine was served in the a la carte restaurant.

I was there for 3 nights and ate at a la carte restaurant which is accessible via the lobby. The luxurious bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and terry cloth bathrobes...

The breakfast was very good and it was within walking distance of the station and the cableway.

Our bar fridge was locked, we requested it be unlocked but nothing happened. The food was very expensive, especially for SA rand, 2 meals, 2 beers and one Martini ZAR850. Perhaps more affordable buffet meals? As we were a bit out of season not all the restaurants in town were open at night.
